Management Team
Profiles
Dr. Anthony Smith,
Chief Executive Officer, brings over 30 years' experience in energy
efficiency, solar energy, and community economic development. He served as
founding first chairman of the Philadelphia Energy Association; founding
Executive Director of the Community Energy Development Corporation in
Philadelphia; business consultant in creating the Vermont Energy Investment
Corporation (which later developed the first energy efficiency utility in
the country); Commodity Trading Advisor in energy futures; National Program
Leader for USDA in Community-Based Entrepreneurial Development; and
founding Executive Director of the Staunton Creative Community Fund, Inc.
He co-directs the Steward-Leadership MBA program for Eastern Mennonite
University, and he also serves as a board member of the Stafford-Staunton
IDA (Virginia Local Government Finance Corporation). He earned his Masters
in Architecture from the Univ. of PA, and a PhD from the Wharton School of
Management, University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Noel Munson,
Chief Operating and Technology Officer, brings extensive and varied
infrastructure technology deployment experience, including Product Planner
for NTELOS. Mr. Munson has served on the Boards of Directors for the
Virginia Piedmont Technology Council, and the Virginia Technology Alliance,
and as an industry advisor to the Joint Commission on Technology and
Science (Privacy in the Electronic Age, and Critical Infrastructure sub-
committees), the Rural Broadband Commission, Virginia ISP Alliance, and the
Wireless Carriers Association. His holds a BA from UVA.
Mr. Bill
Dunnington, Government Relations and Business Development Officer, brings
considerable private industry experience in operations design and
management. He recently consulted with the VA Department of Mines, Minerals
and Energy to facilitate a regional climate change initiative in the
Charlottesville, VA region that won the $500,000 SEEA contest to design the
best community energy plan in the 11 southeastern states. He catalyzed and
co-led an economic development planning initiative which engaged 18 towns,
160 community leaders to shift the economy of Chittenden County, Vermont
toward more engineering design, clean technology and professional services
businesses. His MS in IT development is from UVA.
Ms. Lorna
Saunders, Customer and Community Care Officer, previously served
for over 15 years with the DuPont Community Credit Union. Her most recent role with the Credit
Union's Senior Management Team included serving as Vice President, Branch
Retail Services, with oversight of nine branches, the call center, and the
sales and service initiatives. Lorna
serves as a volunteer business consultant with a number of community
organizations and business associations, including the Staunton Creative
Community Fund. Lorna received her
BS in Business Administration and Organizational Development from Eastern
Mennonite University. She expects to
complete her MBA from EMU in December 2010.
Mr. Macon Rich,
Chief Financial Officer, serves as consulting operations and financial
associate. He brings considerable experience in family-owned business
development, credit analysis for Dominion Bank, financial management as a
former Financial Director for a home healthcare agency, and production and
logistics experience in the Staunton, VA with Gannett Company and Target.
He received his MBA from Duke University.
Mr. Cian Robinson,
Business Development Consultant, operates his own consulting business,
Robinson Ventures, to provide management consulting services to municipal
and for-profit businesses in the areas of economic development, with a
particular focus in serving rural communities in Southside and Southwest
Virginia from his offices in Martinsville, VA.

arrangements, tax and equity structuring, regulatory issues and renewable
attributes transactions. Brings full complement of tax, regulatory, project
development, commercial arrangements and financing experience to host site
photovoltaic facilities and wholesale photovoltaic and thermal solar
projects.

Secure
Futures, LLC selected Brown, Edwards and Company after issuing an RFP to
several statewide CPA firms, to serve as Secure Futures' CPA firm to assist
in reviewing business plans and the financial prospectus for Community
Solar LLC Private Placement Memorandums. The firm is a regional accounting
and business consulting firm formed in 1967 through the merger of the
accounting firms of Fred P. Edwards Company and C. A. Brown & Company,
whose histories date back to the 1920's. Today, the firm has 24 partners,
18 directors, and over 170 associates, with offices located in
Christiansburg, Harrisonburg, Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Bristol, Virginia and
